You and your muse are best friends, days when he/she runs screaming off into the night and you don't hear from them until weeks later and then there are days when you want to gag them, shake them or both. I've been in my writing cave. Two books subbed (one I have to expand), two books done, and two books almost done. It's been a productive, albeit exhaustive few weeks. I haven't stopped writing even when my mind rebelled and I was tired. I kept going.

The story I'm currently working on has morphed several times in my mind. In the beginning it was going to be a menage, then it changed, now it's changed again, then one of the characters wants his own story. Can I tell them to shut up? Can I make them stop giving me ideas? No, cause they won't. The characters are running the asylum and my muse is partying her ass off! Laughing it up and whispering the perfect beginning to a story that I have aimed for print. ARGH! I have to finish two stories first and expand my other story for submission.

I'm busy but I'm happy. Tired but pleased. Next week, my first book will be published by Changeling Press. A Fling in Vampiropolis, is a book I adore. The characters and especially the city, I just love. I'm so excited to share this story with you. The cover is amazing. I can't help but smile every time I see it. Soon I will be annoucing a contest that will run until the end of the month.

All is well until my evil muse decides she wants to tell me a story to share with you and then my writing cave is disrupted once again. *sigh* The life of a writer, what are you gonna do? LOL.
