Since the summer of 2009, the Collins family, the characters of my latest series, at Ellora’s Cave have been a big part of my life. The idea for the Wild Irish series evolved from the traditional nursery rhyme, Monday’s Child. There are seven siblings in the series and each book reveals the life and romance of one of the Collins clan.
Monday’s child is fair of face. Come Monday introduces the family as well as the eldest daughter, Keira. Since her mother, Sunday’s, death, Keira has assumed the maternal role in the family, caring for her younger siblings. At twenty-seven, she decides it’s time to do something for herself, so she enrolls in college, where she meets sexy English professor, Will Wallace. Sparks fly between the two of them and as their relationship evolves, dominant Will reveals Keira’s secret submissive desires.
Tuesday’s child is full of grace. In Ruby Tuesday, readers meet Teagan Collins, the second oldest of seven siblings and a talented singer/songwriter. One night, rock superstar Sky Mitchell is looking to break free from his band, The Universe and try his hand at a solo career. He finds his way into the family pub and happens to hear one of Teagan’s songs. He immediately wants the song…and Teagan. He embarks on a full-out, no holds barred seduction, but Teagan has a secret of her own.
Wednesday’s child is full of woe. Tristan Collins in Waiting for Wednesday has spent the last year in hell, wondering where the girl who got away got to! Lane Bryce endured a nasty beating at the hands of her abusive husband when he discovered her trying to leave him. She manages to escape and get a divorce, but the memories of her friendship with Tris bring her home again. Now that Tris has found Lane again, he’s determined to keep her…beside him, under him, on top of him. His year of woe is over and now he’s looking for a lifetime of happiness and love…with Lane.
Thursday’s child has far to go. In Sweet Thursday, soldier Killian Collins returned from Iraq with his best friend, Justin Porter, ready to embrace life as a civilian, maybe even find a girl and settle down. At their ten-year high school reunion, Justin and Killian are pleasantly surprised to find their childhood friend, Lily. Seems Lily harbored a girlhood crush on both of them back in school and regrets not acting on it. Now she’s all grown up and offers a shocking proposition—one night, bed optional, three bodies. Can anyone say “ménage a t-wow?!”
Friday’s child is loving and giving. Ewan Collins, from Friday I’m in Love, knows what he wants and it’s Sky Mitchell’s best friend, Natalie Miller. So what if she’s older than him? So what if she lives on the west coast while he resides on the east? He’s had the hots for her for years and when she comes to stay with the family for a week, he decides it’s time to make his desires—every single red hot one of them—known. Nat’s in a funk, so she takes a vacation, thinking that getting out of town will help clear out the blues. When she confides in Ewan about her depression, he promises he can change her whole perspective on life in just seven days. By the end of the week, Ewan vows that come Friday, Nat won’t just be in lust. She will be in love…with him.
Saturday’s child works hard for a living. Riley Collins is well-known for her Saturday Night Special. She doesn’t just work hard, she plays hard. When she ends up in Vegas after one particularly hard night of partying, Aaron Young, her best friend, decides it’s time to rein in her wild side…with a trip to the Elvis chapel and a ring on her finger. By the time Riley sobers up, she finds herself in bed and matrimony with Aaron, and he’s not about to agree to a quickie annulment. Unfortunately for Aaron, marriage isn’t enough to tame Riley and before long, he finds himself trying to track down a stripper and a cheating husband, while evading a pimp who looks like Wayne Newton and a hooker named Bubbles. Lucky for him, he has handcuffs and a new wife who loves kinky sex, even if she’s not ready to admit she loves him.
But the child who is born on the Sabbath day is bonny and blithe and good and gay. On Any Given Sunday, Sean Collins can be found hanging out in his apartment with his girlfriend, Lauren and his best friend, Chad. While taking a class on human sexuality, Lauren and Chad are asked to explore avenues they hadn’t previously considered and along the way, dark needs are revealed. Desires none of the friends would have imagined find their way to the surface. While Sean’s penchant for domination is uncovered, Lauren discovers her need for pain and Sean’s need for Chad. Can these three friends find a happy compromise or will they all be alone by next Sunday?
