Q&A:
1) When did you know you wanted to be a Graphic Artist? - I actually started in graphics to help my web design business. After getting tired paying other people to make my graphics for me, I picked up a copy of PaintShop Pro. Not long after that I found Poser. Now I am a gonner.
2) How long does it take you to do a (design, book cover, website)? - Depending on what it is, it can take twenty minutes to days. The pose, lighting and camera angle has to be just right. I have been known to render something ten or more times to make sure it comes out just right.
3) Where do you get your inspiration from? - My muse is everywhere, but most of my inspiration comes from music or just how I'm feeling that day. Some days she is more elusive than others. Some days I do four of five pieces in a row.
4) Any tips for aspiring Graphic Artists? - Don't give up and listen to your heart. There are many people who questioned me sitting in front of the computer for hours creating artwork, even myself sometimes. Just keep at it and you will get where you are going.
5) How do you calculate your price for one of your (figures, book covers, websites)? - Before quoting a price I look at the project, what is involved and how long it will take. I tend to go a bit lower than the market price, but my customers are just as happy.
6) What is your favorite (book cover, figure, website) that you've created? - My favorite piece is called “Going Up”. I love angels and think it came out just about perfect.
7) Is there a place other than your website, where we can view your work? - I have 2 galleries on deviantArt. ExploringEve is for more of my provocative and nude works. Evadnee is for the tamer and more spiritual stuff.
8) I know there a few programs that an Artist uses to create their work, such as Daz or Photoshop, what do you use? - I have Poser 5 and 6, but my Vista hates them. Mostly I use DAZStudio and PaintShop Pro.
9) Silly Time, what would a lion, elephant, zebra, penguin and snake look like smooshed together to create one animal and what would you call this new creature? - Hmmm. What an imagination you have there… I guess it would be the elephant's body with a tail like a snake, head like a lion with penguin's beak and striped like a zebra. What would I call it? A bad dream LOL
10) Anything you want to say or add? Anything you want to ask me? And for the record, yes I am crazy so you can't ask that. LOL - When are you going to open an image gallery for pink chairs on the Pink Chair Diaries?
If you are also an author, please include a blurb of your latest work as well as buy link and excerpt.
No works yet. I'm working on my first m/s in my sparse free time.
